Glendale, Ariz. – Coconino Community College competed at the ACU Invite in Glendale, Arizona as a tune up for their regional championships.
The Comets had two individuals compete at Arizona Christian University in the 5k distance. Shaelyn Honahni once again led the comets with a 6th place finish and a time of 20:21. Honahni’s time averages out to be 6:33 per mile and was only 7 seconds off of her school record she set earlier this season. Teammate Katlyn Potter also competed and placed 12th. Potter covered the 5k distance in 20:50, her fastest time of the season so far.
The comets used this race as a tune up race ahead of the NJCAA Region I Championships on October 29th. The regional championships will be held at Heroes Park in Glendale, Arizona.
