Gilbert, Ariz. – Coconino Community College’s Mauricio Gonzalez leads the comets at the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference Championships.
The comets competed at their first ever ACCAC Championships at Freestone Park in Gilbert, Arizona. Gonzalez led his team with a 47th place finish over the 8k cross country course. CCC’s Noah Rhoden placed 57th and Levi Conery closed out the racers with a 59th place showing. Gonzalez’s time of 32:47 officially established a men’s 8k school record.
Mesa Community College won the team title with 33 points.
The comets will compete next at the Vaquero CAMPY Invitational hosted by Central Arizona College on October 9th.
