Flagstaff Ariz. – The Comet’s #15 nationally ranked cross country team placed 4th at the Arizona Invitational with a score of 111 points. Host team Embry Riddle Aeronautical University took home the title with a score of 15. Other competition included NJCAA #1 Nationally Ranked team Mesa Community College.
The Comet’s top finisher was freshman Briley Dauphinais in 15th place in a time of 28:27 over 8k. Dauphinais was followed closely by teammate Theodore Round Face, who placed 20th.
Luca Onyejiaka, Zach Biah, and Kenneth Nez rounded out the top five finishers for Coconino Community College. Other CCC competitors included Jehovan Floes, Mateo Talashoma, Wakiya Puente and Julius Colelay.
The Comet’s will be back in action on Friday, September 27, at the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference Championships.
